FLYER BY: KC Marie Graphic Design
"Sophie Sputnik, professionally known as Waltzer, is a Chicago based singer songwriter and artist. She began her career in the swampy, punk rock scene of South Florida before moving to Chicago to pursue her next project.
In Chicago, Sophie drew on the influences that dominated the scene she grew up in such as Iggy Pop, The White Stripes, and The Ronettes to name a few. A collision occurred upon meeting the folks of the Chicago music scene as she found herself working with musicians of all different backgrounds and styles, leading to the creation of Waltzer’s debut album “Time Traveler.” Drawing from her love of Orbison, Etta, and Harrison, songs like “Lantern” and “Destroyer” found their soul in producer Chris Devlin’s home and then recorded on tape at Treehouse records.
Time Traveler pays homage to all the folks who wrestle with death and failure. Although the lyrics get heavy, Waltzer’s stage performance has a sarcastic undertone which reverberates through the record with the intent to help the listener stay afloat.
Her message is clear, “Life is really hard / I’m messed up too / Let’s get through it together and laugh at all the weird stuff”

Straight Razor is the EBM project signed to Negative Gain from actor Omar Doom.
The 45 year old developed a close friendship with famed director Quentin Tarantino in the late Nineties, who eventually cast him for a small role in his 2007 thriller, Death Proof. Doom then earned a more prestigious performance as one of the eight basterds in Tarantino’s 2009 hit, Inglorious Basterds. Doom has committed most of his creative life to making music, having spent the last eight years making dark electronic beats under the name Straight Razor. Following a string of singles and remixes, Doom released Straight Razor’s Vol.1 EP on Negative Gain Productions in 2021. Vol.2 is set to be released in June 2022.
Damascus Knives is the EBM act of David Christian (Los Angeles) who evokes a New Beat, Acid, and early EBM sound with hard core fetish themes of BDSM. The project made it’s debut on the notable Synthicide vinyl compilation which was very well received. A new release is expected in summer of 2022.

Edison Hollow/Motherwind
Inkless/Tony Kasino Family Band
Edison Hollow returns to Smalls with out of town friends
Motherwind for a night of high octane rock and roll!!!
Edison Hollow- Unmatched in their energy and stage command,
they scorch the earth with each step
Motherwind (WI)- Some of the cleanest riffs around,
there's not a chance in hell of a dull time with them
Inkless- Classic stylings with refreshingly modern tropes,
these guys look good and sound even better.
High calibur intensity that is hard pressed to be matched.
Tony Kasino Family band- A great group of great people
bringing you that classic garage rock ethos with
some extremely tasty song writing.
Couldn't ask for a better way to start the night.

UNITCODE:MACHINE is a project from Texas Native Eric Kristoffer. Following in the steps of other Texas electronic artists, Eric's style of electro-industrial takes from many inspirations to create a sound unique to the project. Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum is a trio comprised of vocalist, lyricist, musician and Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning and Emmy-nominated actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen (Blondie), and drummer Peter Yanowitz (The Wallflowers, Morningwood). A theatrical sensibility is part of the trio’s DNA, especially in live shows, having met several years ago on Broadway during the production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum eschews traditional rock instrumentation in favor of a stripped-down synthesizer-and-drum attack, heard on their debut full-length album THANKS FOR COMING (released February 2021), which follows their 2020 self-titled EP. Both have drawn praise from Paper, Alternative Press, Associated Press, Consequence of Sound, People, American Songwriter, Magnet, FLOOD, Forbes, HuffingtonmPost, NME, Line of Best Fit, The Independent, Entertainment Tonight and more. A wealth of disparate influences flow into Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum’s songs – the glam, experimental, ambient music of David Bowie, Giorgio Moroder’s ‘70s disco productions for Donna Summer, ‘80s new wave dance music, contemporary electronic dance acts like Justice, and the roster of France’s Ed Banger label.
